EMANZ Conference 2017

Banner for EMANZ Conference 2017

2017 will be a fascinating year for the energy industry, worldwide as well as at home in New Zealand.

On the global scale, the Paris agreement will need to develop from being a well-intentioned, strategic proposal into practical actions at the national level and we all eagerly await the impact of a new president in the US and how that may impact energy policy and climate change initiatives. Nationally, we see a move towards electric vehicles and have a new strategy from EECA that will shape our carbon future.

EMANZ members can and will play a central role in how many of these initiatives will come to fruition and our industry and profession will continue to grow in size and importance in the business community. Our conference is the biggest annual gathering of practising energy specialists and an excellent opportunity to showcase energy products and services. This year, our conference theme is “Disruptive Innovation” and we shall be bringing the newest and freshest innovations in products and services to our delegates, making sure they are in the best position to lead New Zealand into a new era of energy efficiency and carbon management.

The conference is returning to the Mac’s Function Centre on Wellington’s waterfront over two days, 23 and 24 May 2017. Conference presentations will again take place in the upstairs Te Aro and Waterfront Rooms and the exhibition in the downstairs Cable Room.
